How to filter selections using the Quick Properties window?

Using the Quick Properties window that comes with AutoCAD 2009, you can easily filter your selections. All you need to do is, after completing your selection, choose your object group you wish to select from the drop-down menu, uppermost in the window.

How to bring back the Quick Properties window?

Recently I’ve been talking quite a lot about the Quick Properties window. This feature that comes with AutoCAD 2009 may seem minor, but does a good job in increasing our efficiency.

When you select an object or a group of objects and the Quick Properties doesn’t show, it means it’s turned off. You can acitvate it by hitting CTRL+SHIFT+P, as well as accessing it from the last button to the right on the AutoCAD status bar.
